Welcome to the virtual home of the Harrison Avenue School Library Media Center!
The
Harrison Avenue School Library works closely with parents, staff and
students to create a nurturing environment devoted to learning. Our
collection is designed to compliment the school curriculum and to
support literacy in a digital age. Students have access to over
thousands of print books, magazines and online media. Our adjoining
computer lab compliments classroom learnings, with enough stations for
each child. There are two laptops in the library devoted solely to
browsing the collection. Additionally, we run a 1:1 iPad program. A full time certified library media
specialist and teaching assistant work
extensively to serve the HAS community.
We are proud of
our library and excited to invite you into our online home. Through
this portal, students may access databases and electronic materials
reserved for HCSD students. It will also be used as a place to
centralize student resources and showcase multimedia projects.
This
site will be constantly updated, so please check back often. Thank you
